What Is a Budget Plan?

Simply put, a budget plan allows you to make monthly payments at a set amount. Rather than having to worry about higher heating bills in the winter, your average yearly usage is calculated and spread out over 12 monthly payments.


How Is My Budget Amount Calculated?

Your monthly payment is based on your previous 5 years of use. If a 5-year history is not available, your payment will be based on the average of the history that is available. We will periodically review your account and make adjustments, if needed.


What Period Is Covered by the Budget Plan?

The budget plan runs from July 1st – June 30th of the following year.


Am I Eligible for the Budget Plan?

If you have been a Keystone Propane residential customer for at least a year and you have a $0 account balance on June 30th, then you are eligible.


When Can I Enroll?

May 1st – June 30th is the open enrollment period.


How Do I Make My Payments?

Once you are set up, you’ll continue to make payments like you normally do. To make things even easier, you can sign up for auto-pay. By doing this, your monthly payment will automatically be charged to your credit card or deducted from the checking account we have on file.
